Rodney Howard Browne says that since the start of school and the river school revival at R.B.I. the Lord has made some major changes in me. I have made a decision to press into the things of God like never before. It actually started in my second year at R.B.I. I had made a decision then to do whatever the Lord told me to and the result was awesome blessings from the Lord. Rodney Howard Brown says that as I have made myself available to him, he has made himself more available to me also. He is growing my faith and showing me who I am to be in Him, a strong prayer warrior in the call center for this year is just the start of his ministry for my wife and I. I am becoming more and more patient and more humble before the Lord. I am also finding myself becoming more hungry and thirsty for the things of God.
Great Awakening stated that this is my third year in R.B.I. and God is showing me how to take everything that comes my way, the good the bad and the ugly and to use these things to my advantage, to learn from these circumstances to flow in the Holy Ghost and take it all in stride not in strife. I never thought I would have come back to R.B.I. after my first year back in 05-06 but the Lord has a way of making us see things his way. (Thank you Jesus!) The best decision of my life so far was coming back to R.B.I. for my second and now third year. This is just the start of the school year and I am so exited to see what God is doing in not only my life but so many new students that have stepped into the call that God has placed on their lives it is going to be a Great year at the River Bible Institute. Rodney Howard Browne says that this past week at Winter Camp Meeting 2011 was the best camp meeting I have ever attended. The presence and power of God was so amazing. Pastor Rodney taught on the anointing during the morning services and really just let the power of God flow. Rodney Howard Brown there was one morning service where a few different special guest singers got up on stage and started singing “I’ve Got It!” and the whole church started praising God and rejoicing that we’ve got the Holy Ghost all over us! We have it in our hands, feet, walk, and talk and all over us! There was such a freedom in the room it was breathtaking.
Rodney Howard Browne says that then at night as the fire of God fell, it was like we were receiving downloads from heaven and growing spiritually as we sat in the anointing. It was as if we were being taken from glory to glory! Then on Thursday night, it was like we touched heaven. Rodney Howard Browne says that as we were worshipping the Lord singing Holy, Holy, Holy it sounded like a choir of angels joined in with us! And I don’t blame them! God is worthy to be praised and worthy to have our all during worship! It was so powerful and I felt like I caught the slightest glimpse of what Heaven is going to be like.
Friday night though, changed my life and my friendship with one of my very dear friends. God completely restored and healed our broken friendship. Great Awakening Tour stated that we were both completely full of joy and it felt as though an electric current was running through us. God mended and took away all of our bitterness, ill feelings, and malice towards one another and filled us up with His love. Rodney Howard Browne says that the weeks of the revival meetings have been so amazing. I do soul winning every day, for the passion of souls has greatly increased in the inside of me. All I see now when I ride on the bus with people or meet people on the way the only question that comes to my mind is if they are save? Rodney Howard Brown says that working in the call center get more interesting as I pray and people get healed instantly and receive the baptism of the Holy Ghost immediately. I prayed for one lady who had had pains on her back since 2009 she got healed instantly and was shouting and praising the lord in her apartment.
I met another lady at the bus stop, prayed with her and she got save, but looking at this lady I could see she was not feeling good so I asked her what the problem was and she told me she had fever so I asked if I could pray for her and she said yes I laid my hands on her and took authority over the fever and she got healed immediately. In fact it is so amazing each time I think of the fact that God is not only giving me the opportunity to reach people but also the fact that through me people are receiving healing breakthrough. Rodney Howard Browne says that I believe that we are in the greatest hour and the greatest time now in the church. We are so privileged to have access and freedom to worship God and to preach the gospel freely. We have only a short window now to reap this harvest, it is our responsibility to reach the people for Christ. We cannot leave the responsibility to just pulpit preachers. Rodney Howard Brown says that it is called the great commission and not the great suggestion. Jesus did not give us an option when He said Go and preach the gospel to all men. He did not ask if we wanted to go out and preach the gospel.
Great Awakening Tour stated that we cannot think that it is an option, we are responsible and we will be held accountable for our time and talents, and abilities that God has placed in our hands and that He has equipped us with. We will have to give an account for our words and our actions, so we need to make sure that what we are saying is in love and we are to preach the gospel in love and not condemnation. Rodney Howard Browne says that I believe that we are the army that God is raising up and all I know is that I don’t want God to have to use another generation to get the job done, I want to be apart of the generation that brings in and reaps this end time harvest of souls and I want my life to count for eternity. -Aja K.
Rodney Howard Browne says that this week so far has been powerful and stretching. The Great Awakening Tour says that other night I came into service later because I had work and as soon as I walked into the sanctuary I could feel the presence of God. Rodney Howard Browne stated that it was amazing because sometimes when you are in a service, you don’t realize how much the presence of God comes into a place. When you come in cold turkey, his presence is so much more tangible because you can see the difference. According to Rodney Howard Browne I encourage anyone that is questioning whether or not to come to just come! My first Great awakening meeting was an amazing way to start out my New year!
Rodney Howard Browne says that Pastor Adonica had talked about opening yourself up to God in ways that you haven’t before, and letting the Holy spirit come in and take control. Rodney Howard Brown stated that it started me off this year in such a great way to remind myself that its not about me and its not about me being in control, and to just trust God to touch me like never before and let him in places that I might hold onto so dearly. Great Awakening Tours stated that because he created us, He knows us better than we know ourselves, so who better to trust than Him to fully let in and consume us and show us the things we need to fix and the things we need to let go. Its so precious to see people and myself included getting touched by the presence of God. Rodney Howard Browne indicates that you see people getting set free, bondages being broken, letting things go and giving them to God and becoming a totally different person in one night. Rodney Howard Brown stated that peoples faces will be totally different when they get up off the floor from getting a touch , their whole countenance will have changed, just by letting God into their heart in the deepest parts where He knows to go and bind up what’s been broken and leaving all control into his hands. Its all a mater of just letting go and yielding to God and the Holy spirit move right in. For whoever has suffered in the flesh [having the mind of Christ] is done with [intentional] sin [has stopped pleasing himself and the world, and pleases God], 2 So that he can no longer spend the rest of his natural life living by [his] human appetites and desires, but [he lives] for what God wills. 3 For the time that is past already suffices for doing what the Gentiles like to do—living [as you have done] in shameless, insolent wantonness, in lustful desires, drunkenness, reveling, drinking bouts and abominable, lawless idolatries. 4 They are astonished and think it very queer that you do not now run hand in hand with them in the same excesses of dissipation, and they abuse [you]. 5 But they will have to give an account to Him Who is ready to judge and pass sentence on the living and the dead. 1 Peter 4:1-5 AMP
Verse 1:
So, since Christ suffered in the flesh for us, for you, arm yourselves with the same thought and purpose [patiently to suffer rather than fail to please God]. For whoever has suffered in the flesh [having the mind of Christ] is done with [intentional] sin [has stopped pleasing himself and the world, and pleases God] according to Rodney Howard Brown.
Rodney Howard Browne stated that the sufferings of Christ make the strongest and best arguments against sin. Jesus Christ suffered in His flesh all for you and me—He died to destroy sin and its power over us. He cheerfully submitted to the worst sufferings, but never once did He yield to the least bit of sin. It was this suffering and bloodshed that purchased our freedom from sin. Since we know that He suffered so greatly in His quest to save you and me from our sins, should we not also strive with all our might to walk free from sin and walk in His ways from now on? Should we not also cease pleasing ourselves and our carnal nature and strive to rather please God by Great Awakening tours.
Verse 2:
So that he can no longer spend the rest of his natural life living by [his] human appetites and desires, but [he lives] for what God wills.
Rodney Howard Brown says that if man was not already corrupt, temptations would not prevail. James 1:13-15 ERV says, “Whenever you feel tempted to do something bad, you should not say, “God is tempting me.” Evil cannot tempt God, and God himself does not tempt anyone. 14 You are tempted by the evil things you want. Your own desire leads you away and traps you. 15 Your desire grows inside you until it results in sin. Then the sin grows bigger and bigger and finally ends in death.” True Christians make God’s will the rule for their lives and their actions—not their own lust or desires. When someone is truly born-again there is a wonderful, corresponding change that takes place in their heart and behavior! Rodney Howard Browne have told us that this change is seen in their attitude, their judgment, their conversation and their choices. The truly converted person is grieved over their past sin. He or she does not look back on his or her past life with any pride, joy or longing. As far as they are concerned, that was the old man who is now dead and their new man is now following hard after God alone.
Verse 3&4:
For the time that is past already suffices for doing what the Gentiles like to do—living [as you have done] in shameless, insolent wantonness, in lustful desires, drunkenness, reveling, drinking bouts and abominable, lawless idolatries. They are astonished and think it very queer that you do not now run hand in hand with them in the same excesses of dissipation, and they abuse [you].
Rodney Howard Browne stated that before you gave your life to Jesus, you lived a certain way—you lived an ungodly life. You may have thought of yourself as a basically “good” person, who just did a few small things wrong or you may truthfully acknowledge that you and your friends embraced sin fully and went all out to “enjoy” yourself and accommodate your flesh. Either way, you were all still sinners. Some of us have friends who also give their lives to the Lord around the time we do. Great Awakening Tours told them that perhaps they find Jesus first and tell us the good news; sometimes we are the ones who lead them to the Lord. Many times though, you receive Jesus, but your friends think you are crazy. They think it’s weird that you don’t still hang out with them and do the things you do. They might tease you or mock you or even get angry with you and abuse you verbally or even physically.
You need to realize that they really don’t understand what has happened to you—their eyes have not yet been opened to the grace of God like yours have. You need to work to keep your heart right. Don’t be angry or offended at them and don’t allow the peer pressure to suck you back into your old, ungodly life-style. Just allow the love of God to rise up in you and know that you will come through this. If you don’t fight back and you show them love and forgiveness, you have a chance to win them for Jesus Christ.
Verse 5:
But they will have to give an account to Him Who is ready to judge and pass sentence on the living and the dead.
Always keep in mind that every person will need to give an account to Jesus Christ on the Day of Judgment. Do not try to fight your own battles. Trust the Lord to protect and vindicate you. If you do it God’s way and walk in the love of God, He will take care of your friends. Pray for them and trust the Holy Spirit to work a work in their hearts and lives!
Rodney Howard Browne says that what an awesome week in the presence of the Lord. This conference was more than I’ve expected. God touched me in a way like never before. Clarity was given to me by the grace of God. No limits, no boundaries have increased my look out on life. It gave me new hope and just made me realize that God has no limits when it comes to blessing His children.
Rodney Howard Brown stated that I am a first year bible school student, and God just placed a fire for nations in my heart, and once your heart has caught that fire there is no turning back. If we are good stewards of what we have now, God will entrust us with even more! I’ve learned that we have to be faithful with what we’ve got, so that we can be blessed with even more.
Great Awakening Tour says that if we place everything at God’s feet and just surrender all, we will get to the place where God wants us and where He can fulfil His plan for our lives. God revealed to me that He has a plan for my life, I just need to trust him with ALL I’ve got and everything I have to offer Him. Rodney Howard Browne says that God can’t go back on His Word, that’s why all those promises are ours. We need to check our heart daily and be sure that we stand pure and yielded to His presence. Let Him mould you, let Him work through you and most of all, let Him guide you.
